S4 Preview | The Life of David, Online Bible Study – A Man After God’s Own Heart

Welcome to The Deep End with Tim Hatch! This season we are doing a character study on the Life of David and will journey through several books of the Bible that give accounts of his life. Every week on our podcast, we will dive deeper into Faith, Politics, the Bible, and the world we live in.

As we move verse by verse through the Life of David, you will gain a better understanding of the Bible and know that you can have victory in Jesus who through His death, burial, and resurrection provides us with the Holy Spirit who constantly conforms us into His image. THERE’S NO PLACE IN YOUR LIFE WHERE GOD CANNOT MEET YOU, LEAD YOU, AND SUCCEED YOU!

Throughout this completely free 34 episode online Bible study with included study guides we will not just be looking for where we see Jesus in each passage, but also asking, who is your king? As we go step by step through the texts each week and apply a real-world application of God’s Word we will discuss the most important decision you will ever make: will you be part of King Saul’s reign and the kingdoms of this world or King David’s reign and the Kingdom of God?

What Scriptures Talk About King David? Did you know that King David is mentioned over 1,000 times in the Bible, across some 54 chapters making him second only to Jesus? To find out more about the lessons God has for us in the successes and failures of David’s life, we will study parts of Ruth, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Amos, and Zecharia in the Old Testament and Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 2 Timothy, Hebrews, and Revelation in the New Testament.

What Bible Characters Influenced King David? We will also be studying various people who influenced David throughout his life as he struggles to become God’s anointed king such as the Prophet Samuel, King Saul, Goliath, Abner, Asahel, King Ishbosheth, Abiathar, Jonathan, Nabal, and the Amalekites, his wives: Princess Michal, Abigail the Carmelitess, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, Princess Maacah, Haggith, Abital, Eglah, and Bathsheba, and some of his children: Amnon, Chileab, Absalom, Adonijah, Shephatiah, Ithream, and Solomon.
